WHAT IS HOME DETOX?
In-home detox is a program designed by Home Detox Inc. to address the problem of alcohol and substance abuse for those who are seeking sobriety and want anonymity.
Alcohol and substance abuse detoxification is done in the comfort and security of the client's home. The care of the client is supervised by a physician and nurses specially trained in the field of alcohol and substance abuse detoxification.
Home Detox Inc. is owned and operated by Norman
and Debora Shewman. Norman Shewman is an RN, graduating Magna Cum
Laude from Graceland College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Nursing and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Addiction Studies. He is Board Certified in Psychiatric and Mental Health
Nursing.
Mr. Shewman is a member of: Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, The National
College Honor Scholarship Society Alpha Chi, The American
Psychiatric Nursing Association (APNA), The Florida Nurses
Association (FNA) and the National Society of Addictions.
Mr. Shewman has fourteen years of experience in home
health, serving as a Field Nurse, Director of Professional
Services and Psychiatric Program Director. As a Psychiatric
Director, he designed and implemented the in-home alcohol and
substance abuse detoxification program. This program is based on
his experience working in a hospital detoxification unit and
field experience in home health. Mr. Shewman is a Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) as well as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) for DOT drug testing.
